Get up close and personal with Zee Avi on Friday, March 19 at Stereolab. Signed to Jack Johnson's Brushfire Records, Zee Avi counts among her influences Cat Power, Regina Spektor, Leonard Cohen, Tom Waits, Jolie Holland, Daniel Johnston and Chris Garneau, to jazz greats Billie Holiday and Ella Fitzgerald, to classics like Velvet Underground and Led Zeppelin.
Tickets are $28 nett and can be purchased from Stereolab. The event starts at 8.30pm.

To raise money for the relief efforts in Haiti, Little Joy's Binki Shapiro has rallied a bunch of artists to contribute custom-made artwork for the Crafts For A Cause auction. You can bid for items auctioned by artists such as Vampire Weekend, Natalie Portman, Regina Spektor, Adam Green, The Strokes, Bright Eyes, Fleet Foxes, and Jenny Lewis. All proceeds will go to Artists for Peace and Justice.
